The longest wait in the security check line at the Springfield Branson National Airport is around 20 minutes. That’s according to airport officials. That’s nothing compared to waits as long as three hours at airports like Chicago O’Hare. Homeland security says it’s working to reduce airport security lines by hiring hundreds more officers and putting more trained dogs on duty.
A lot of unhappy travelers in recent days at airport security lines have up to wait more than 3-hours. Today the TSA apologized for the meltdown in Chicago that’s causing some passengers to miss their flights altogether. The fear of long lines had some passengers like George Hillman at the airport more than 4 hours before take off. ” I just didn’t want to miss my flight for one thing and just precaution,” says Hillman.
